GFCA State Championship Locations Selected
The Georgia Forensic Coaches Association is proud to announce the locations for the 2025 State Championships, continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence in speech and debate across the state.
The 2025 First & Second Year State Championship will be held at Marist School in Atlanta on January 17-19, 2025. The First & Second Year State Championships offers a comprehensive platform for the youngest students in the state to showcase their skills and compete for the prestigious title of State Champion. This will mark the fifth time Marist School has welcomed the GFCA State Championship to its campus.
The 2025 Varsity State Championship will take place at Carrollton High School in Carrollton on February 7-9, 2025. Since 2011, this championship has brought together hundreds of the most talented and dedicated students from across Georgia to engage in rigorous debate on current events, deliver compelling speeches, and share impactful stories. The 2025 tournament will also serve as the site for the organization’s newest Hall of Fame inductees, announced in early January 2025. This year marks the fifth time Carrollton High School will host a GFCA State Championship.
Both Marist School and Carrollton High School have a rich history of supporting and advancing speech and debate in Georgia. The GFCA is excited to continue this tradition by partnering with these esteemed institutions once again. Special thanks to their coaches and administrations for opening their campus to students from all over the state showing off the power of speech and debate.
