Supplemental State Championship
March 25-31, 2025
Hosted after the main event State Championships, the Supplemental State Championship exists to provide all students and all schools an accessible state championship. Held completely asynchornous, the tournament provides benefits for students looking for practice for supplemental events at Nationals or students who were unable to attend the traditional State Championships. Whether its date conflicts or financial barriers, asynchronous opportunities open the door for many schools and students who may not be able to participate.
How can my school attend?
All dues-paying member schools are eligible to send students to the Supplemental State Championship. There is no official qualification metric to qualify for an event. For a full breakdown of eligibility rules for this tournament, you can read the Constitution & By Laws.
How does asynchronous work?
Prepared Events
Many of the events are prepared events that students can start working on at the beginning of the season. There are some tournaments and scrimmages that offer your students practice in these events available for low-cost and/or free that are on the GFCA Tournament Calendar.
Deadlines
The video deadline will be Tuesday, March 25, 2025. At that time all recordings must be uploaded to Tabroom and verified independently by the coach.
Pairings will be released that evening to judges for feedback and review and due by Thursday evening. On Friday, we will release the first set of elimination rounds and by Sunday, name ten new State Champions!
